Here’s something I’ve been meaning to post about for a while now.
I mentioned storage for our giant sponge when I did the virtual tour of our children’s art studio but I never did say what it is we do with a giant sponge…
We make bubbles!
Yup, thats it. Seems so simple but it really makes SunnyGirl happy.
Our sponge is piece of what used to be a foam mattress cover but any old spongy material will do. I got this idea from Growing A Jeweled Rose; their giant sponge used to be a changing table pad.
Just lay the sponge down in a bath tub, sink, paddling pool, plastic container, or anything that is waterproof and handy then pour an inch or two of water in with a few squirts of soap. Add a few drops of food dye or washable paint to give it some color if you like. Then let the little one go at it.
She’ll happily play with this until her fingers are pruney and the colors have long gone.
