Fire Theme Bath

I try to give the kids a theme bath at the end of every week. It is a fun way to put a cap on whatever we learned that week in school and a great way to start the weekend out on a good note. Unfortunately I’ve slacked off about the weekly theme baths these past couple months. We were long overdue.

This past week was fire and fire safety theme for LittleMan. We preformed experiments on fire, ran fire drills, read fire safety books, and worked with a few fire themed printable packs, all of which I’ll talk more about in a later post.

So to cap off fire safety week, we had a simple fire themed bubble bath.

Red, orange, and yellow balls float in the water. A foam hydrant taped to a spray bottle sits in the corner. A red strainer full of red and yellow sponges floats near the balls. Yellow foam alphabet “flames” cover the walls. A tray of yellow shaving cream, a cup of red paint, a cup of bubble solution with a bubble wand, and a few plastic firefighter figurines line the side of the tub.

As usual, LittleMan gravitated towards the water wall while SunnyGirl preferred the paint and shaving cream.

Of course they both had fun.

Though perhaps SunnyGirl had a bit more fun than LittleMan…
