Magic wands are incredibly easy to make, a fun craft for adults and children alike.
And since the materials cost is so low, there is no reason you can’t make magic wands by the dozen!

All you need is one bamboo skewer, one sheet of standard printer paper, some glue, a bit of yarn (optional), a square of toilet paper, brown paint, and sealant (also optional).
Squeeze glue all over the paper (purple lines where I put the glue).
Roll the skewer up in the paper.
Make a tight paper roll for a smooth wand. Make a loose paper roll for a twisted wand.
(For a twisted effect, simply roll loosely and then crumple and twist the paper down tighter around the skewer.)
When it dries, cut the weak and bendable paper ends off.
Tear off a small corner of the tissue paper square and use a dab of glue to fill-in and round-out the hollow ends.
Optional step: Wrap yarn around the wand in any design you choose.
Secure the yarn design with glue.
Once dry, paint it brown. You may want to do two or three coats of paint.
When the paint dries, seal with clear sealant.
Here are ten different wand designs for inspiration:
