Back in March I did a series of posts called “the ABCs of Raising Well-Rounded Geeklings” Everyday there was a theme which I either wrote about or I shared an activity for, and for every theme there was a linky party. Those linky parties are all forever-linky parties so they are an on-going, growing resource for ideas. The goal of my original series was to create the ultimate resource for geek parents to go and find fun things to do with their children and I like to think we did pretty well. However, I realized after the series was over that there were SO MANY aspects of geek parenting that I failed to address. I couldn’t fit it all into a mere 26 days. It reminded me a lot of the Dr Seuss book, “On Beyond Zebra!” A-Z was covered but there was still so much left! That is how the idea of “On Beyond Zombie” was born.
Every Thursday my co-hosts (listed below) and I will be sharing with you a play activity, homeschool lesson, craft, review, etc.. related to the topic of raising well-rounded geeklings.
And every Thursday there will be a linky party where you can share your own geeky posts, which we will pin and share across our social media platforms. The posts that we like best will be featured in the next’s week’s On Beyond Zombie link-up.
For this inaugural linky party I have something kind of special, free printables!
I’ve gotten so much positive feedback from readers about our Mario themed 100s chart pictures and our Avenger’s themed 100s chart pictures that this week I’m offering free printable Minecraft 100s chart pictures!
These are so simple to use, just print them out and offer them to your child with some colored pencils or crayons. There is a list at the top of each page that tells the child what color to make each numbered box, and when they are done coloring in the 100s chart an image from their favorite video game appears.
