All this month I’m going to be sharing with you crafts and activities that I’ve made with some custom Gallifreyan writing which I got from Applique Geek. Applique Geek has something for every fandom so be sure to check them out and let them know Suzy Homeschooler sent you.
Last week we shared some free printable Gallifreyan Writing Activity Mats, this week we’ll be sharing another free printable of Gallifreyan writing, along with some ideas to make Gallifreyan writing ornaments for your tree.
For our first ornament idea you’ll need our free printable (which you can download below) and some pipe cleaners, I used white.
Simply have the child press the pipe cleaners to the printable, and try to bend them so that they line up with the Gallifreyan writing.
This is an excellent exercise in fine motor skills. Younger children will probably struggle to create the outter circle, whereas older children will be able to create more detail. The below is an attempt made by my first grader.
Besides twisting pipe cleaners to make ornaments, you could also decoupage these printable images onto thin pieces of wood or cardboard. Or you could just print them on cardstock, let your child color them in, then cut them out, hole punch them, and hang them from the tree. Someone who is really talented might use this printable as a stencil to paint Gallifreyan writing onto a large Christmas ball.
