Many geeks are big fans of Japanese art and culture. It only makes sense that sushi would become iconic in geek circles. I still can’t believe that when we studied Japan last year, we never bothered to have sushi!

LittleMan loves seafood, almost as much as I do. But SunnyGirl is not such a fan. I thought some non-traditional fruit sushi might be more to her liking. We followed a recipe we found on Kids Activities Blog.

And it was pretty easy for SunnyGirl to help make.

If fruit sushi isn’t your cup of tea, then perhaps you might prefer candy sushi, or vegetarian sushi, or even felt sushi for pretend play. None of which are as fantastic as traditional sushi, but all are much easier for children to make.
